Hells Kitchen + Dogwood Acquisition
The Access Fund and SCC have recently acquired a boulder field called Hell’s Kitchen and a property securing a critical access point to the Dogwood Boulders. Together we are working to raise $167,000 to cover the purchase price, transaction costs, and necessary trail and stewardship improvements for sustainable access.
Denny Cove Facelift Project
REI recently awarded the SCC with a grant to team up with Access Fund Conservation Team to work on giving the Salad Bar Wall and Buffet Wall trails a “facelift”.
Denny Cove Acquisition
The SCC and Access Fund have acquired Denny Cove, a 685-acre parcel of land in eastern Tennessee, which is now open to climbing.
GA WMA PASSES
All climbers must get a hunting or fishing pass for GA WMA areas. Get a pass for Rocktown, Zhand, and Lost Wall.
Sand Rock Trail Day
The SCC teamed up with Cherokee Rock Village to host the second graffiti removal trail day on April 23, 2016 .
Kings Bluff Graffiti Removal
Thanks to a grant from the American Alpine Club, and a team of local climbers — most of the King’s Bluff graffitti has been removed.
