The South Cumberland State Park and SCC have been working together to create a comprehensive Fixed Hardware Review process for new route development at SCSP areas.
The SCSP-FHRC is a sub-committee of Southeastern Climbers Coalition (SCC) formed at the request of SCSP to support the park’s climbing management. The mission of the SCSP-FHRC is providing rules and guidelines for placement and replacement of fixed hardware; and to work with members of the climbing public to consider applications for installation of new fixed anchors. The FHRC will evaluate, and, if necessary, revise such applications, and conduct a vote of its members to recommend or reject such applications to SCSP.
The FHRC shall consider applications within the list of open climbing areas within SCSP; at this time those areas are Denny Cove and Foster Falls. The FHRC only has authority to recommend new applications to SCSP.
Below you will find the comprehensive guidelines for the FHRC committee members and routes. Please read this document extensively before applying.
