This beautiful sandstone boulderfield, located just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee is packed full of classic splitter lines each with its own unique features ranging from tiny crimpers and cool pockets to beautiful cracks and big fat brainy slopers. Stone Fort, formerly known as Little Rock City, has long been known as one of the best boulderfields in the southeast. With lines like the Incredible Hulk, The Wave, Diesel Power, Space, Jerry's Kids, Behind The Barndoor and Super Mario it's not hard to figure out why. The primary goal of The Triple Crown is gaining and maintaining access to climbing areas, and Stone Fort is our first true success story. Just over a year ago, climbing was prohibited at this fantastic boulderfield. Thanks to The Triple Crown, the hardworking Chattanooga Climbers' Association and the gracious understanding of the landowner, Stone Fort is now open to limited climber access year round. Please do everything you can to keep this area open. Respect the rules, landowners, the golfers, and anyone else you may encounter while visiting this area.
